RO Antiscalant (High pH)

GALVANIC'S RO Antiscalant (HIGH PH) is a super-threshold RO membrane antiscalant and antifoulant which is able to stabilize a wide range of supersaturated salt solutions, thereby preventing the precipitation on the membrane surface. 

It reduces the risk of scaling and eliminates the use of hazardous acids,resulting in efficient plant operation with highest possible conversion rate. 

It is a very effective antiscalant for waters with LSI upto +2.6, Iron upto 1.2ppm in reject, Silica upto 166ppm (or mg/l), High SDI. It is also compatible with ALSTAFLOC series of coagulant and flocculants (polyelectrolytes). GALVANIC'S RO Antiscalant (HIGH PH) is effective in minimizing scaling in presence of foulants like Calcium Carbonate, Sulfate salts of Calcium, Barium, Strontium and Magnesium, Calcium Fluoride, Iron and Silica.

Application and Dosage
GALVANIC'S RO Antiscalant (HIGH PH) is dosed directly to the RO feed water tank or feed water line (after pretreatment) at the minimum recommended dosage of 1ppm and maximum dosage at 15ppm, subject to inlet water quality and parameters is respect of Calcium Hardness, Iron, TDS, Alkalinity, pH and silica content. 

In case of high iron content of about 0.5 to 1.0ppm, the dosing has to be increased by 10-15ppm for stabilizing Calcium. 

At about 10-15ppm dosage GALVANIC'S RO Antiscalant (HIGH PH) is capable of fully inhibiting iron and calcium, and silica up to 166ppm. For higher silica content ALKRO HS40 should be used. 

Handling measures and precautions
Proper human safety products such as Splash goggles, lab coat, vapor respirator, gloves and boots should be worn while handling and applying Chemicals. Splashes on skin should be washed off with water immediately. In case of splashing into the eyes, flush it with fresh water and obtain medical attention. Should not be injected. Storage
This product should be stored in original containers in cool and dry place, away from sources of heat, flame and direct sunlight. Please refer Technical Data Sheet, Label and MSDS for more details and shelf life.

Acidic Membrane Cleaner

GALVA-ACI 104

GALVA-ACI 104 has been build up as an inorganic scale cleaner and iron deposit remover for apply in Reverse Osmosis and Nano-fltration membrane systems. Used at the exact concentration, its self-adjusting pH ensures highest solubility of iron salts is achieved. GALVA-ACI 104 has been approved for use in drinking water purposes.

 

ADVANTAGE:

CHEMICAL FEEDING AND CONTROL

The cleaning solution should be prepared using potable water that is free of residual chlorine or other oxidizing agents.  Add 2 gallons of GALVA-ACI 104 to every 100 gallons of water (2% solution). Adjust the pH in the range 2–3.  Recirculate the cleaning solution throughout the system, after redirecting the first 20% of the solution to drain.  Do not exceed pressures, temperatures and flow rates recommended by the membrane manufacturer.  Cleaning efficacy can be further improved by heating the cleaning solution and alternately circulating the solution for 15 minutes and then soaking the membranes for 15 minutes.  Repeat as many times as necessary. Monitor the pH range periodically throughout the cleaning.  When pH increases above the desired range, it should be adjusted by adding more GALVA-ACI 104.

Alkaline Membrane Cleaner

GALVA-ALK 114

GALVA-ALK 114 has been build up as a general-purpose membrane cleaner effective against organic based foulants typically found in Reverse Osmosis and Nano-fltration membrane systems. GALVA-ALK 114 has been approved for use in drinking water purposes.

CHEMICAL USING for AND MANAGE

Membrane Suited Coagulant/Flocculant

GALVA-COF 255

To reduce membrane fouling and reduce cleaning frequency the silt density index (SDI) should be kept as low as possible. GALVA-COF 255 can be used to progress the performance of filtration equipment and has been developed as a general-purpose focculant for use in surface, well and process waters with medium to high SDI values. GALVA-COF 255 is compatible with polyamide membranes and does not foul membranes like conventional iron and aluminium based coagulants.

Overdosing may result in a net dispersion effect of the suspended solids – dosage should be maintained based on jar testing results.If there are any questions, please contact with us for specific dosing instructions. GALVA-COF 255  should be fed neat if possible. If a dilution is necessary, dilute no more than 4 to 1 with RO permeate or DI water. GALVA-COF 255  should be injected at least 15 feet (5m) upstream of multimedia or cartridge filters to allow for sufficient mixing and coagulation. Do not use static mixers ahead of the filters as the shear imparted by this equipment will degrade the polymers contained in this formulation

Antiscalant and Antifoulant

GALVA-ANT 140

GALVA-ANT 140 is a wide-ranging purpose liquid antiscalant & antifoulant for utilize in Reverse Osmosis and Nano-fltration systems. This concentrated phosphonate product is effective against a wide range of inorganic scaling species and also sequesters trivalent metal cations such as iron, manganese and aluminium thus reducing the frequency of membrane replacement and cleaning. GALVA-ANT 140 has proven to be effective at a Langelier Saturation Index (LSI) of +2.6 which means that systems can be designed and operated at their optimum recovery rates. By reducing the amount of feed water used and concentrate to be discharged, signifcant savings can be made to both capital and operational costs.

CHEMICAL FEEDING AND CONTROL

Usually feed continuously earlier to the final cartridge filter.  It should be inserted by chemical dosing pump from a dilution tank or directly from the drum to the feed water line.  The amount of GALVA-ANT 140 required to inhibit scale formation depends on the quality of feed water and size of the membrane system.  If chemical needs to be diluted, do not exceed a 12X dilution to prevent over-dilution of the food grade preservatives.
